Completeness


These are some thoughts immediately following the jam.

There are only two major additions I wanted that I had to cut due to time. The first was Team Fortress style emotes/pings which players could use to communicate to each other. Simple stuff like clicking on a player's name to say their name in the message log, some emotes like "good", "hello" etc.

The other was listing each player's attack skill on the player list so people could see e.g. that there was a moonshiner in the horde and hold on their burn attack so they could see what the other made flammable.

I think these two would raise the strategic ceiling a bit and would be welcome additions. However, I am happy that I chose to instead focus on content and managed to create nine attacks and seven templates for enemies with multiple "solutions" for each enemy. There are some things that didn't make it in like a "grab" or "ambush" attack that would have been nice but I'll be pretty surprised if the game even gets the nine simultaneous players that are required to have all the current skills in rotation ;)
